The Ark Survivor Cosplay

Ark Survival's Rex Bone Helmet Skin crafting!

Here's how I made it:
It all started with EVA Foam, a yoga matt-like foamy material which can be cut with siccors and bent to curve with very high heat!

In these screenshots from my creative twitch streams, I had cut out the flat shape of the top of the rex skull, heated it up with a heat gun and curved it to shape!

After carving out the smooth foam with some wood carving tools and sand paper, I smothered the top of the skull with lots of matt finishing Acrylic Molding Paste.

At this point, I started using Stone Clay for the teeth and high ridges of the bone! I also hot glued the wet clay into position and then smothered the clay with more molding paste!

With the top of the rex skull fully covered in molding paste, it was time to start the lower jaw. Here's the cut out shape and the heat gun doing the bend and curving work!

More detailed trimming was always spotted!

And my favorite stuff, molding paste! The big lower clay fangs followed shortly after.

The before and after pictures below!
Molding Paste on the soft squishy foam and the acrylic bone colored detailed painting in the picture on the right!
